So the iPhone 7 has been revealed. This happened a few days earlier and the phone should be in India before this month ends. It’s not cheap, no iPhone ever is. At Rs 60,000 it’s up there with other very expensive phones. However, for many an iPhone user, this price is not daunting. It’s alright. It’s normal. After all, it’s an iPhone! When you buy it, you join that exclusive club of Apple fans, who flaunt their ‘cannot be tampered with because it’s not open source’ software, their quite quick interface and well, the ecosystem where you can connect your iPhone to your iMac or your MacBook or your iPad and your Apple Watch.
Now, the iPhone doesn’t have a headphone jack. It also has AirPods, those are wireless earphones, so you don’t need those have those stringy things called wires hanging around everywhere. Seriously though, even an Android fan looks forward to seeing what every new iPhone has, because it’s a competitive market. How else can one spend their Saturday night at the bar while the ladies have all gone to the washroom to powder their faces? You talk about your phones, you compare cameras and you also just show off the iPhone.
But iPhone fans are in heaven. This is the latest phone on the market and it does look good. It is also innovative. If you are an iPhone fan, you know what we’re talking about. It’s a work of art, you have to give them that. Apple did revolutionise the smartphone market and they will continue to be competitive, despite the falling prices and features that other phones already have. But let’s not rub that in iPhone user faces just yet.

60k is indeed a lot of money. Having said that I utilise my phone's for a long time. I didn't change my iPhone 5 to an iPhone 6 or a 6s when those came out into the market. The iPhone has always appealed to me. I have never had a problem with the iOS and for me it is about the whole ecosystem of iOS and syncing it with my macbook and iPad for work. The iPhone 7 will have a shelf life of at least three to four years. By which time I'm sure everyone will change their phones. Technology is changing every day we just need to know what we need and not what we want.
