The 42nd State Art Exhibition was inaugurated recently at Kala Academy, Panaji by Secretary for Art and Culture Daulatrao Hawaldar. Of the 174 entries received this year, 67 works have been selected to be put on display. The exhibition will be on view for public till November 7.
It is one of several citizens' initiatives launched as Morocco hosts the COP22 climate talks in Marrakesh from November 7 to 18. Mohammed Salmoun, a local civil society activist, said the project had changed the face of several marginalised parts of the city.
