This young Goan comic artist is taking over Instagram

Twenty three year old Goan girl Aishwarya Kudchadker has been doodling out tales of her disorganized life, beauty disasters, boy troubles etc on Instagram. And she's plenty funny. Ever since she went public with her Instagram handle Coochie Doodles back in April, the youngster has been gaining followers by the number with over 1k followers at last count.
"I've been drawing silly little comics right from my childhood days, but I began to start putting more of an effort into making comics only about two years ago," says the youngster, who has taken art classes at Pyde Pyper Academy, Dona Paula for two- three years previously.
Her inspiration, she says comes entirely from real life incidents. "Often it is something that happens in my daily life, or things that I observe are common between my friends or colleagues that just click in my head and I tend to register it as an idea for a doodle," she reveals. Even so, there are times when she is stuck because of a creative block but she has found ways to get around this. "I feel this happens to me more often since I am not a full time doodler or artist. At times like this I illustrate or sketch characters from my favorite TV shows or I try typography. Basically I try to do something to keep my head in the game and keep the creative juices flowing," she says.
Her posts have generated quite a fair response so far much to her delight. "I used to post my doodles on my personal profile initially but I recently set up a new profile fully dedicated to my doodles. The response was heartwarming. Receiving direct messages from my followers complimenting my work or telling me about how relatable it is just makes my day!" adds the artist, who is currently doing her post graduation in User Experience design at MIT Institute of Design, Pune.
