Three Goans vie for International title

#TG Life

The grand finale of Global Mr and Miss International India Universe 2019 presented by Global India Entertainment Production will be held in Goa on May 25 at Riva Beach Resort and the winner of the show will represent India at the International Pageant in Europe in November 2019.

Claiming that Global Mr and Miss International India Universe 2019 is a contest that provides a platform to young boys and girls who aspire to make a mark for themselves in the field of modelling, acting and entertainment, Allie Sharma, fashion technologist and show director disclosed that out of 140, three contestants are from Goa - Riju Salim, Aamir Khan and Sweta Dev.

Allie further added, “The international pageant is entirely different from other pageants which used to organize in our country on India level or at the state level. Since Global India Entertainment Production is an International platform where each single contestant is getting not only national exposure, but gets a chance to serve for nation at different male pageants and female beauty contests.

The company has the distinction of holding the most auditions spreading across 24 states of India to get the best talent throughout the country and to give a chance to every state contestant to come out and get into their modelling career, since there are many states like Meghalaya, Assam and Bihar where these kind of beauty pageants exposure is no more.”

Bollywood celebrity Dino Morea will be part of the grand finale jury along with other renowned jury members from fashion and Bollywood including Muskaan Narang, Ankit Nagpal, Varun Katyal, Kirti Narag Mishra, Navneet Aarora along with Sachin Naik - director Riva Beach Resort.

Allie elaborates, “We have welcomed all 120 contestants from across 24 states of India for the finale and grooming session at Riva Beach Resort and will be grooming them until May 24. The contestants will have their different rounds on finale in front of the judges and audience like ethnic round, casual round and finale winning round with male and female formal attires.”

The organisers have invited various best groomers from all over India during this grooming session and they will be taking sessions on different topics. There will be personality development activities for every contestant, such as walk session, communication skills, Q and A round practice, fashion choreography, fashion styling etc.

“I am excited to judge the show as I have been a part of the audition jury as well and realised the selected ones have great potential and of the opinion that Sushil Gupta and Allie Sharma are doing a fantastic job to give such a great platform to all the young potential contestants who are starting their career in modelling through this pageant,” said Ankit Nagpal, groomer and jury member.

Dr Varun Katyal, groomer and jury also expressed his happiness over his association with the event. International fashion director Liza Verma will be joining the contestants for walk and professional posing session for fashion ramp shows.

All the other groomers will be visiting the contestants as per different sessions.

There are 60 female models and 60 male model contestants. The finale will have a female bikini round and shoot and men’s swim and body shoots.
