Travel talks

TGLife

It was an evening of sharing stories at Carpe Diem, Majorda when ardent travellers met to talk, discuss, play music, sing poems and enjoy the get-together. Hosted by Soul Travelling and Carpe Diem Art and Learning Centre recently the event ‘Safarnama Courtyard’ was dedicated to travellers and their experiences. The evening saw people getting together to share their experiences with a largely attentive and curious audience.

Yashvit and Prasanna spoke about their Euro Trip adventures. Dattaprasad Borkar as a senior citizen had a ton of trekking and marathon anecdotes from various parts of India. Daegal Godinho very briefly spoke of his adventure by bicycle along with his friends from Goa to Kanyakumari. Aditya Raj Kapoor as well shared an outline of his motorcycle trip around the world on a Triumph bike which he finished in 2018. Vipul Upadhyay spoke on his travels as a Gujarati and filled his stories with humorous instances of choice of food by his community and more. Manguirish narrated incidents on some of his trips to Europe and explained how in order to travel, one does not need to have huge budgets and with a bit of planning one can reach their travel destinations.

The evening ended on a high note with a three-man band called ‘Cousins of Carrot’ playing a set of some well known travel music as well as a few of their own compositions. ‘Soul Travelling’ plans on organising more travel talk series such as this at Carpe Diem and various other venues across Goa in the near future.
