Eschewing the traditional promotional blueprint for a tentpole movie, Paramount has just released five simultaneous teasers for its 2017 Ghost in the Shell adaptation. Between 10 and 15 seconds in length, each teaser offers a new and tantalising morsel of information about what the film has in store.
A 2017 American science fiction action crime drama thriller film based on the Japanese manga of the same name by Masamune Shirow, Ghost in the Shell stars Scarlett Johansson, Pilou Asbæk, Michael Pitt, Takeshi Kitano, Chin Han, Lasarus Ratuere and Juliette Binoche.
In the film, policewoman "The Major" (Scarlett Johansson), and her task force Section 9 thwart cyber criminals and hackers. Now, they must face a new enemy who will stop at nothing to sabotage Hanka Robotic's Artificial Intelligence technology.
The trailers, however, were strange, a bit jarring, and left us with far more questions than answers. That's when Tim Gonzales decided to do a fan edit. He took the glimpses of this new world and made them into something else ” something better, something we recognize.
