In 2003, The Black Eyed Peas were at the height of their musical powers. The innovator Will.I.Am. and his three partners released an album called Elephunk, which had many great hits but one stood far above the rest. It was called Where Is The Love. Now, 13 years later, BEP have released a new version of the song, and this one stands tall for reasons of its own.
Faced with the kind of apathy and anger in the world today, the new version, called #WheresTheLove, is by BEP featuring The World, which is a host of celebrities - singers, musicians, and other stars who have come together to lend their talents, or just their faces to this project. The song aims to recognise the problems occurring in the world today, as people are being targeted for their colour, their race, religion and other issues. The video stars Mary J Blige, Justin Timberlake, P Diddy, DJ Khaled, Nicole Scherzinger, Jaden Smith, Jessie J and more.
The video #WheresTheLove starts off with Will.I.Am and the first time you hear it, you’ll find it a lot different from the Where Is The Love? that you used to listen to back then.
