It was late Sunday when Opposition leader Digambar Kamat descended on the Khareband area as he went about seeking reelection for the eighth time in a row from Margao. After a woman made a plea for jobs for the local youth, Kamat did not let her down, promising to resolve the unemployment problem if he becomes the Chief Minister after the coming polls. Kamat assured the crowd that he may bounce back on the coveted CM’s chair if the Congress nominates him for the hot seat after the polls.
