Curtains will come down on the ongoing National Games next week, but two back-to-back championships, including world Beach volleyball, along Salcete’s beach belt have become a talking point in Saxtti political circles. Aam Aadmi Party Benaulim MLA Venzy Viegas must certainly be pleased with Varca beach hosting the World Beach Volleyball, followed by the National Games Beach Football at the world-famous Colva beach, both in the Benaulim constituency. Venzy may certainly hope these events create a feel-good factor for him in Benaulim and help him score a couple of goals against opponents. Any takers?
