The Trinamool Congress and its MLA Churchill Alemao seemed working to a plan in Calangute. Days before Minister Michael Lobo quit the BJP to embrace the Congress, Churchill had told his close aides that Congress leaders Agnelo Fernandes, Anthony Menezes and others would leave the Congress to embrace the TMC. Churchill had even discussed how Michael would find it difficult this time if one of these leaders cross swords with him. That Churchill travelled all the way to the North to welcome the Congress leaders only goes to show the TMC means business.
