THE CONGRESS leadership may have been going slow in taking a call on Goa Forward offer for an alliance to unitedly fight the 2022 polls. A close aide of Opposition leader Digambar and Margao Municipal vice-Chairperson Deepalibai Sawal, however, has openly batted for the Goa Forward chief, not only for his reelection, but for the post of Chief Minister. WITH EYES on the crucial seamen vote in Saxttidom and outside, the Congress apparently invited a delegation of seafarers for a tete-a-tete with Congress observer P Chidambaram. The delegation led by GSAI president Frankbab Viegas highlighted the issues plaguing the seafarer community and sought to know whether the Congress has any answer to their issues.
