What surprise will Reginaldo spring on his Oct 5 birthday?

GUILHERME ALMEIDA | OCTOBER 02, 2021, 08:39 PM IST

WHAT'S LINING up on the birthday of Congress three-time MLA Reginaldbab Lourenco on October 5?  Reginaldbab is one MLA who is on the radar of political parties that have set their eyes on the 2022 Goa Assembly election. He seemed keeping all his options open as the political parties and the players keep meeting him with the hope of weaning him away from the Congress. Post-Luizinhbab Faleiro’s exit, the Congress too has reached out to the three-time MLA. Wait and watch as rumours were afloat during the weekend that Reginaldbab may soon take a call on his future political career.

Churchill reposes faith in NCP, rolls out action plan

WHAN MAMATA Didi and Luizinhbab Faleiro talked about football, political observers were left to wonder whether Varca strongman Churchilbab Alemao would also join the team. Churchillbab, however, seemed playing a different ball game. Having promoted football for the last four decades, Churchillbab says there’s no other politician other than him who can talk about football. Churchillbab has told his aides he will stay put with NCP. He is believed to have laid out an action plan to the NCP bosses on elections, with sources not ruling out the possibility of Churchillbab charting out an independent course if the action plan fails to materialize.

Now, another leader set to ditch Cong for BJP!

A FORTNIGHT ago, a Delhi-based senior TV journo had called up a local politician around midnight to convey the message that Congress veteran Luizinhbab Faleiro along with leaders from the North East is all set to quit the Congress. The news turned out true a week later when Luizinhbab embraced the TMC. Another senior scribe based in the national capital is believed to have now called up the politician with a message that decks have been cleared in Delhi for a senior Congress leader to join the saffron brigade. Interesting, isn’t it?

Savio and his presence at Luizinho’s residence

THE PRESENCE of Aam Admi Party leader Pratimabai Coutinho’s husband Savio at Luizinhbab Faleiro’s residence before the latter quit the Congress makes interesting reading. Scribes have been trying to figure out whether Savio, a close friend of the Faleiro family, was at Luchel Caminho de Monte to express his solidarity with Luizinhbab or to simply wish the Congress leader the very best on his new political innings with the Trinamool Congress. It’s a coincidence that a decade ago, Saviobab was TMC’s candidate. Any questions?

Who’s out to ruin Mickky’s Benaulim plan?

IT WAS a week when an agitated Mickkybab Pacheco came rushing to the media to sound warning to Congress leaders to stop misguiding the party High Command. He did not elaborate how the local leaders have been misguiding the party leadership. His tirade, however, seemed directed at leaders, favouring an alliance with like-minded parties, including the NCP. For, he knows that a Cong-NCP alliance would rule him out of the fray on the Congress banner since the Benaulim seat is held by the NCP. By the way, who’s this leader out to sabotage Mickky’s plan to return to Benaulim on the Congress ticket?
