Tickets: Cong still on fire-fighting mission
The Congress party is still on a fire-fighting mission after the distribution of tickets triggered resentment amongst leaders and their supporters. Amongst other things, Maharashtra Congress chief Nana Patole was on a mission in Goa to interact with party leaders, whose plea for tickets found no takers in the party. In fact, Patole is believed to have interacted with many a leader from both North and South Goa, in a bid to assuage their hurt feelings and sentiments and get them to stay put with the party.
Moreno switches to ‘vroom’ campaign mode
Congress Curtorim candidate Moreno Rebello seemed in a hurry to reach out to the voters. Even he has covered lot of ground by moving door-to-door, Moreno and his trusted lieutenant Curtorim Sarpanch Milagres Rodrigues, former Sarpanch Rui Menezes have switched the campaign mode on two-wheelers. In fact, Moreno and his group were spotted canvassing on two-wheelers, covering as much ground as possible before the D-Day.
CM optimistic of winning Fatorda, Margao seats
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant appeared confidence personified as he hopped from Fatorda to Margao this week, apparently to boost up the morale of party cadre in support of Damu Naik and Babu Ajgaonkar. At Fatorda, the CM sounded confident that Damu would return back to the Assembly after a 10-year break. And, he exuded confidence that his deputy, Ajgaonkar would make it to the Assembly this time from Margao. Any takers?

What’s Dy CM Babu Ajgaonkar’s take on Chief Minister Pramod Sawant’s confidence of the BJP winning the Margao seat this time round? Well, Ajgaonkar too seemed equally confident of cutting short Digambar Kamat’s innings. But, he has an issue at hand and is looking for the party leadership to address. Ajgaonkar’s simple and plain request to the party leadership “ just ensure the BJP retains the party’s traditional 7,500 votes, and leave the rest to him to execute a surgical strike.
