The unfolding political developments in the Goa Forward, observers say, are bound to have an echo in the Congress, which had gone into a discussion mode with the regional party over the proposed alliance. In fact, observers have been trying to figure out how the Congress would now go about negotiations with the regional outfit, which had staked a claim on a total of six seats, including Aldona and Tivim. The moot question that remains unanswered is simple -- whether the Congress outlook towards the Goa Forward will now change after Kiranbab’s exit from the party. And, will the party still bat for an alliance with the regional outfit? GPCC Chief Girishbab Chodankar may have an answer.
