Where’s former Velim MLA Benjaminbab D’Silva? Has he drawn up any plans to make a comeback in Velim? And, whether he would join any political party this time around to contest the 2022 Assembly polls? Well, low-profile Benjaminbab, who defeated Filipe Neribab in 2012 as an Independent, is apparently gearing up to face the 2022 battle. Though Benjaminbab’s plans to seek re-election in 2017 had come a cropper, the former Independent MLA’s office remained open for the public. Will he prefer the Congress or again chart out an independent course? Only time will tell.
