The Digambarbab-Vijaibab combine may suddenly realize that the defeat of the saffron brigade in the municipal poll has not in any way changed the position on the ground. The duo might have succeeded in stopping the saffron flag from flying atop the Margao Municipal Council building, but the BJP camp in Margao and Fatorda seemed to have taken the defeat in their stride and have re-grouped, apparently with an eye on the 2022 Assembly election. A no-holds-barred battle is underway in Fatorda and Margao between the arch political rivals.
