Cuncolim Union defeated United Club Telaulim 5-3 via the tie-breaker to enter the semi-finals of UCT trophy inter-village football tournament, organised by United Club of Telaulim, at school playground, Telaulim, on Monday.
The game started on a fast pace and both teams showed urgency in taking lead but UCT scored the first goal in the 37th minute through Sadney Costa while Cuncolim Union had to wait till the 68th minutes to equalise through Shivam Velip as the game ended 1-1 draw.
In resultant tie-breaker, Cuncolim Union netted through Wilson, Jolleyton, Mathew and Virat while UCT found net through Frendon and Sadney Costa.
Albert Mascarenhas executive member of UCT gave the man-of-the-match to Wilson of Cuncolim Union.
