Goa made a historic mark at the 68th National Shooting Championship Competition, currently underway since December 11, 2025, and continuing until January 3, 2026, with events being held in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) and Delhi across rifle, pistol, and shotgun disciplines.
In the rifle events (50m and 10m), Goan athletes Omkar Prabhugaonkar, Aditya Sawant, Schneider Colaco, Yash Padloskar, Preksha Chatim, Eldrida Fernandes, Varuna Unikrishnan, Vedanti Chevli, Maitri Das, and Tvisha Shetgaonkar are in action.
For the 10m pistol category, shooters Ridhan Abdul, Avni Bhangle, and Shreya Nakhare are representing Goa.
Marking a milestone, Goa is also participating for the first time in national-level shotgun events, with athletes Dylan Dube and Vidhur Chandy competing.
The ongoing championship has brought together top shooters from across India, offering Goan athletes a platform to showcase their talent and aim for podium finishes.
