Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao and Don Bosco College Panaji registered wins on day 14 of Day 14 of the Goa University Inter Collegiate Cricket Men Championship 2024-25.
In the day's first match, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre, Assagao, delivered a commanding performance, defeating Shree Mallikarjun and Shri Chetan Manju Desai College of Arts & Commerce, Canacona, by a staggering 145 runs.
DM's College elected to bat after winning the toss and proceeded to amass a formidable 268/5 in their 20 overs. The innings was anchored by an extraordinary display of power-hitting from Aryan Narvekar, who smashed a breathtaking 143 off just 43 deliveries. Yash Gadekar provided valuable support with a rapid 58.
Shree Mallikarjun College struggled to cope with the daunting target, eventually succumbing to 123/8. Namdev Raul's exceptional bowling performance, claiming 5 wickets, sealed the victory for DM's College.
The second match of the day saw Don Bosco College, Panjim, triumph over Goa College of Agriculture, Ela, Old Goa, by 87 runs.
Goa College of Agriculture won the toss and opted to bowl, but Don Bosco College posted a competitive 173/9. Ajay Raj led the charge with a quickfire 59, supported by Sankalp Prabhu's solid 46.
Goa College of Agriculture's batting lineup faltered in response, managing only 86/8. Don Bosco College's disciplined bowling ensured a comfortable victory.
