Parish Youth Association Consua edged past Panchawadi United Sports Club 2-1 in the GFA U-17 Division 2 League, at Cansaulim Sports Complex, on Wednesday.
Parish Youth set the tone from the opening whistle and their forwards pressed showcasing their aggressive intent and Janu Yadav delivered with style in the 15th minute.
Panchawadi upped the ante and intensified after the change ends and in the 55th minute Shreyash Gaunkar neutralised the lead when he drilled past the rival defender.
Parish Youth launched a barrage of attacks in the injury time turning up the heat against Panchwadi United. Natiq Mohammed Shaik finally found his well-deserved goal after missing opportunities in the first half as his shot found the roof of the net in the 80 plus 4 minute.
