Ishita Colaso and Chandan Caro were the stars of the day as they booked their berths in two finals each at the ongoing Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, powered by Priority Constructions and held under the aegis of the Goa Table Tennis Association at the Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias, Miramar.
In the U19 Girls, Ishita outclassed Anushri Naik 3-0 to set up a summit clash with Neeza Kamat, who prevailed 3-1 over Urvi Surlakar. Ishita also marched into the Women’s final with a 3-1 win over Anushri, while Urvi outplayed Neeza 3-1 in the other semi-final.
Earlier, in the U19 Girls quarter-finals, Aarna Lotlikar, Tisha Shaikh, Sanisha Sinha and Samaira Soares bowed out, while in the Women’s quarters, Aadit Chodankar, Sachi Dessai, Samaira Soares and Shreya Phadte made their exits.
In the U15 Boys, Chandan continued his fine form with a commanding 3-0 win against Yug Prabhu, while Ruhaan Shaikh displayed maturity to overcome Dhruva Kamat 3-1 in the other semi-final.
The quartet of Kavish Dalvi, Vedant Wagle, Chinmay Bakhare and Ishaan Colaso exited at the quarter-final stage.
Later, in the U19 Boys, Chandan ensured a double final appearance by ousting Dhruva 3-1, while Aaron Farias blanked Yuvaan Sanke 3-0 to set up a mouth-watering title clash. Earlier, Vivaan Prabhudesai, Ruhaan Shaikh, Chinmay Bakhare and Vedant Wagle bowed out in the last eight.
