Priority Gaspar Dias Open TT: Ishita bags triple crown

Ishita Colaso and Aaron Farias stole the limelight at the Priority Gaspar Dias Open All Goa Major Ranking Table Tennis Tournament 2025, played at Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias.

Ishita emerged as the standout performer of the championship, securing a rare triple crown by winning titles in the U15 Girls, U19 Girls, and Women’s Singles categories. Aaron Farias was equally impressive, claiming a double crown with victories in the U19 Boys and Men’s Singles events.

The tournament finals delivered high-octane action across all categories. In the U11 finals, Ishaan Colaso defeated Ashank Dalvi 3-1, while Anaya Shukla breezed past Aarna Walavalkar 3-0. The U13 Boys final was a nail-biter, with Ruhaan Shaikh edging Yug Prabhu 3-2, while Aarna Lotlikar overcame Sachi Dessai in a hard-fought 3-2 win in the U13 Girls.

Chandan Caro clinched the U15 Boys title with a 3-1 win over Ruhaan Shaikh but later fell short in the U19 final, narrowly losing 2-3 to Aaron Farias. In the senior finals, Ishita downed Urvi Surlakar 3-1 to win the Women’s crown, while Aaron triumphed in a thrilling Men’s final, edging past Dheeraj Rai 4-3.

In the veterans’ section, Sandeep D’Mello (40+), Kalyanaraman B (50+), and Joseph Sequeira (60+) claimed the top honours, with Jesus D'Costa, Ratnadeep Shivani, and Dinesh Shetty finishing runners-up in their respective age groups.

The prize distribution ceremony was attended by Parind Nachinolkar, Managing Director of Priority Constructions, Christopher Menezes (Secretary, Goa Table Tennis Association), Sanjeev Sardessai (Chairman “ Centenary Celebrations), Tanmay Kholkar (Secretary, Clube Tennis de Gaspar Dias), and Edwin Menezes (Vice President, GTTA), among others.
