The Goa Masters Athletic Association will host the 3rd National Women Masters Athletics Championship, starting May 30, at Atal Stadium, Bambolim.
The Master athletes are grouped in the age groups of 30+ up to 90+, featuring 13 age groups of 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80-84, 85-89, 90 and above.
There are 19 events in each age group, including runs, throws and jumps. Goan athletes have been invited to participate in the championship. Each athlete can participate in any three events, excluding relays.
Participants are required to submit their entries, along with an entry fee of Rs. 1,100, latest by April 30 to Yeshwant Verenkar, secretary GMAA (9421251272), Patrick Soares (9422593714 at Fatorda), Devi Gaonkar (9623269923 at Bambolim), Shashi Kumar (9890361261 at Peddem), Snehal More (9637896373 at Ponda), and Angeline Ferrao (9850456596 at SAG office, Bambolim).
