MARGAO: Novowaddo SC edged past Piedadgal FC 2–1 to secure a place in the final of the Friends Circle of Curtorim Interward Football Tournament, played at the Raitolem Curtorim ground on Tuesday.
Novowaddo SC took the lead in the 10th minute through Ryan, before Piedadgal FC equalised five minutes later with a strike from Anthony. The decisive goal came in the 20th minute when Myson Fernandes put Novowaddo SC ahead 2–1, which remained the final score.
The man of the match award was presented to Myson Fernandes by James D’Costa, former Goa Police player and Ryan International Mumbai alumnus.
Novowaddo SC will face the winners of the Agxem SC vs Paldem SC clash in the final scheduled for February 1.
