Reuben Rocha, a student of Bethany Convent High School, Margao, delivered an outstanding performance at the 9th National Fins Swimming Championship held at Campal, Panjim, winning a total of six medals.
The championship was organised by the Under Water Sports Association of India.
Competing in the Under-12 boys category, Rocha secured three individual gold medals by emerging victorious in the 50m, 100m and 200m Bi-Fins events.
He further strengthened his medal haul in the relay events, claiming gold in the 100m Bi-Fins mixed relay and silver in the 50m Bi-Fins mixed relay in the Under-12 category.
Rocha also showcased his talent against older competitors, winning a bronze medal in the 50m Bi-Fins mixed relay while competing in the Under-15 category.
The promising swimmer trains under coach Inacio Netty Raposo at RCC, Fatorda, and continues to make a mark on the national stage with his impressive performances.
