MARGAO: Ponda Footballers will organise the 36th St Anne's Festival Inter-Village Soccer Tournament 2026, held in memory of late Dr. Ketan Bhatikar, from July 10 at the Animal Husbandry Ground, Curti, Ponda.
The tournament is recognised by the Goa Football Association, supported by the Sports Authority of Goa (SAG), and powered by the Madhavrao Dhavlikar Charitable Trust.
The inaugural ceremony will be attended by social worker Mithil Dhavlikar as chief guest, in the presence of Dr. Kautuk Bhatikar and Ponda Footballers president Manoj Keni. The opening match, scheduled to kick off at 5 pm, will feature Nerul Sports Club against Socio Cultural Club of Loutolim.
Other participating teams are Assonora United, Raia Sporting Club, Sai Avtar, Anjuna, Don Bosco Oratory Fatorda, FC Siolim and hosts Ponda Footballers.
The semi-finals will be played on July 14 and 15, while the grand final is scheduled for July 26 to coincide with the Feast of St. Anne.
A 60+ veterans' exhibition match between North Goa and South Goa will be played ahead of the final.
