Churchill Alemao, owner of Churchill Brothers FC, has called on the passionate football fans of Goa to pack the Raia Sports Complex as his team prepares for their I-League encounter against Dempo Sports Club on December 18.
The match will be a crucial test for the Red Machine, and Alemao is eager to see his team compete against some of the best in the country.
Churchill Brothers FC, a club with deep Goan roots, was founded as a tribute to Alemao’s late father, Alemaos Braz, a respected referee in the State. The tradition of patronage has been carried on by Churchill Alemao and his daughter Valanka Alemao, the CEO of the club. Under their leadership, Churchill Brothers FC has become a powerhouse in Goan football, consistently challenging for top honors in the domestic league.
Alemao expressed his confidence in the team ahead of the highly anticipated clash with Dempo, stating, "It’s time for the team to show that we can compete with the best in the country. We are determined to earn points and score goals, and we’re going to prove to the Goan fans that we have a team that can challenge the top sides."
Alemao also shared his belief in sticking to the plan, even in the face of early setbacks. “Don’t change anything, even if you lose the first game,” he advised. “Stay by your plan, don’t panic and start changing everything. These are lessons you learn after being in this business for many years. And yes, there is pressure, but we want to deliver a good performance so that the fans can see that the Red Machine can really challenge the best teams in the country."
In a move to encourage more spectators, Alemao announced that entry for the match would be free for all spectators. "We want the crowd to come in huge numbers at the Raia Sports Complex. That’s necessary," he said, emphasising the importance of fan support.
Alemao concluded by highlighting the vibrant atmosphere at the Raia Sports Complex, adding, “We’ve seen the energy from the fans in Fatorda, and now in Raia, the atmosphere has been incredible. The fans in Goa love the game, and we want them to continue supporting us.”
Churchill Brothers FC will look to make a strong statement when they face Dempo in their upcoming I-League encounter, with fans expected to turn out in large numbers to cheer on their team.
