Federation Cup winners and former I-League champs Bengaluru FC are only a win away from their second I-League title but the Blues will be eager to win it in front of their own fans when they host Salgaocar FC at the Kanteerava Stadium on Sunday.
The Goan side won their important away fixture against new entrants Aizawl FC, Mizoram on Monday courtesy a solitary strike by star Scottish attacker Darryl Duffy, but will miss the services of the former Swansea player in their next game against Bengaluru team. This will be a major jolt for the outfit, as Duffy, who has scored 11 of the 19 goals scored by the Greens in the competition, has been the best player of the squad by some distance.
