Betalbatim Sporting Club thrashed Cuncolim Union 3-0 to enter the quarter-finals of the Curtorim Gymkhana Cup inter village football tournament organized by Curtorim Gymkhana at Church ground, Curtorim on Sunday.
Betalbatim held the upper hand in both the halves and Cuncolim Union struggled throughout the match to catch up with the brisk pace of Betalbatim lads. Presenter Rebello opened the scoring for Betalbatim Sporting in the 11th minute of the play. Changing ends, Betalbatim threatned the rival goal with good sorties and Cuncolim defenders failed to contain the ramaping rival attackers. Klinnsman Pereira doubled the lead at the start of the second session while Ronaldo Coelho scored the third goal.
