Bethany Convent High School, Sao Jose de Areal, delivered a commanding performance to secure a win over Rosary High School, Navelim in Round 3 of the Sapphire Division of the Next Gen League 3.0, U15 Girls category, held at The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal.
Angel Gama stood out with a stellar display on the pitch, earning the Player of the Match award for her influence and leadership throughout the game.
Meanwhile, in Round 1 of the Diamond Division, St. Anne’s Institute, Agonda, began their league journey with a confident win against Regina Martyrum High School, Assolna. Gwyneth Fernandes played a key role in the team’s success and was deservedly named Player of the Match.
Organised by The King’s Sports Academy in partnership with The King’s School, Sao Jose de Areal, the Next Gen League is Goa’s largest inter-school football and futsal league. Now in its third edition, the league focuses on player development. To promote fair play and growth, scores are not publicly shared. Points are awarded as follows: 3 points for a win, 2 for a draw, and 1 for a loss.
