Curtorim Gymkhana maintained their dominance over Chandor Club in the initial period and were unlucky when defensive midfielder Savio Fernandes' long ranger only kissed the crossbar much to the dismay of Curtorim Gymkhana supporters. At the other end, Chandor Club dominated the proceedings but Benson Fernandes failed to beat the rival goalkeeper in a one to one situation.
Chandor Club's breakthrough came in the 12th minute when striker Frazier Gomes slotted past the Curtorim Gymkhana goalkeeper with a snap shot.
Chandor Club continued to dictate terms after the break and doubled their lead in the 60th minute when Frazier Gomes punted the ball to the far corner of the net.
Chandor Club were richer by Rs 40,000 while Curtorim Gymkhana had to settle for Rs 30,000 as the winning prize. Cuncolim MLA Clafacio Dias was the chief guest and gave away the prizes in the presence of Fr Richard Pinheiro, parish priest of St Joseph Church, Sao Jose de Areal, Moreno Rebello, Zilla Parishad Member, GFA Exectuive Member Analdo Costa and Joquim Manuel Silva, South Goa Referee Officer
