CRC,Chinchinim came from behind to defeat St Rock's Sports Club,Fatrade 4-1 in a Group B match of Salcete Zone GFA's Third Division League at Varca Ground, on Monday.
Both the teams started the game in attacking fashion but it was St Rock's Sports Club rocked the rival citadel in the very 9th minute when Allan Fernades beat the rival goalkeeper with a clinical finish. CRC, Chinchinim stunned by the early goal got into attacking mode and Alliot Antao neutralized the lead with stiff grounder in the 22nd minute .
The CRC players after getting a pep talk from coach at the lemon break put up an improved performance and immediately made it 2-1 in the 48th minute when Alliot Antao scored the second time to complete his brace. CRC continued their hunt for goals and in the 68th minute,Remmy D'Costa added his name to the scorers'list . Clinton Nunes drilled the final nail into rival's coffin in the 81st minute to troop out worthy winners.In Group C, Navelim Sporting Club humbled Carmel Sports Club 6-4.
