Both teams started the match in attacking fashion and Chinchinim Veterans sounded the warning early when Urbano Fernandes had a golden chance but rival defender Shekar Shirodkar thwarted him from scoring with a neat tackle. At the other end, Baptist D'Mello of Albert Developers released a power-packed shot but the rival keeper saved it brilliantly. The match winner was scored by Jerry Fernandes of Chinchinim with a good placement in the 17th minute. Post resumption, Albert Developers put up a vastly improved display and troubled the rival defence but rival defenders stood tall in protecting their slender lead. Chinchinim Veterans were richer by Rs 30,000 and a trophy while Albert Developers had to settle for Rs 20,000 and a trophy.
