Churchill Brothers FC have signed Honduras striker Clayvin Zuniga from CD Municipal Limeno on a one-year deal.

The 29-year-old has experience of playing in the CONCAF Champions League. He can play as an attacking midfielder and also plays as a centre forward.

Zuniga was playing in the Primera Division – Apertura in El Salvador in the last few seasons. He has played for the Honduras U-20 and was part of the U23 team as well.

Zuniga scored 15 goals last season for CD Municipal Limeno. In the 2019-20 season, Clayvin netted 17 goals for the same club. He has also played for CD Real Sociedad (Honduras) and Deportes Savio.

Zuniga is a clinical forward and proven goalscorer as his stats show. The Hondurian is looking forward to the challenge of playing in India for the first time in his career and ready to show his talent.

As a free agent, he has signed for the Red Machines for one year. Churchill Brothers have a great chance to win the I-League title this season

with top league teams Mohun Bagan and East Bengal, both moving to Indian Super League.

The Red Machines have roped in former Gokulam FC coach Santiago Varela, who won the Durand Cup with the Kerala team. It will be interesting to see how he makes an impact on the pitch.
