Curtorim Gymkhana stormed to a convincing 4-0 victory over Varca Sports Club in the 51st Chandor Seamen Rolling Trophy Football Tournament, organised by Chandor Club at the Chandor Church Complex Ground, on Saturday.
Curtorim made a flying start and broke the deadlock in the 20th minute through Casvino Fernandes. Melvin Fernandes doubled the advantage just a minute later as Curtorim quickly took control of the contest.
The winners continued to dominate and added a third goal in the 27th minute, with Amar Estebeiro finding the net to give Curtorim a commanding 3-0 lead at half-time.
Curtorim maintained their pressure after the break and Casvino completed his brace in the 60th minute to make it 4-0.
Varca struggled to contain Curtorim's attacking moves throughout the contest and could not find a way back as Curtorim comfortably secured the win.
Casvino Fernandes was named Player of the Match. The award was presented by former Chandor sarpanch Fiel Dias.
