Curtorim Gymkhana entered the semifinals by defeating Rossman Cruz Nagoa by 8-3 in the Betalbatim Villagers Cup at Panchayat Ground on Tuesday. Betalbatim’s Aleeward Mascarenhas was the hero for Curtorim scoring 5 goals.
Rossman Cruz scored two goals in the 5th and the 30th minutes through Frazier Rodrigues and Iman Gulati respectively. Aleeward Mascarenhas pulled a goal back in the first half for Curtorim.
In the second half, Curtorim went all guns blazing and scored quick goals through Aleeward, Frazier Castanha and Aliston Fernandes to make the score 6-2.
Nagoa pulled a goal back through Savio Fernandes.
Curtorim put the game to dust by scoring two more goals through Aleeward and Aliston.
Aleeward Mascarenhas was awarded the man of the match for his fine display.
