Damodar English High School, Gudi-Paroda won the South Goa District Under-17 boys hockey tournament organised by Directorate of Sports and Youth Affairs at SAG Sports Complex, Fatorda. In the final, Damodar English High School defeated St Rita’s High School, Maina, Curtorim by a solitary goal. The winner was scored by Manjunath Gaonkar with a superb reverse hit in the 15th minute of the second session. The team was coached by headmaster of the school, Norbert Fernandes and assisted by physical education teacher Eknath Marathe.
