Damodar Higher Secondary School of Gudi-Paroda emerged state runners-up in both boys and girls category in the inter Higher Secondary U-10 Kudo championship organized by Directorate of Sports & Youth Affairs at Peddem Sports Complex Indoor stadium, Mapusa.
In the boys category, Virej Gaonkar bagged gold medal in 55 kg weight category while Jubert Fernandes bagged gold in 60 kg weight category. Sairaj Desai and Delvin Fernandes both bagged silver medal in open and in 45 kg weight category.
In the girls category, Sharla D’Souza bagged gold medal in 45 kg weight category, Pranata Gaitonde and Sonali Jadhav also bagged gold medals in 55 kg and 50 kg weight category respectively. Vartika
Yadav was also among the medals and bagged silver medal in 40 kg weight category.
The team was coached by Vivekanand Tambi and Physical Education teacher Jaikrishna Naik Desai.
