Both the teams showed attacking intent and as a result there were many thrills in the game. UC Nerul had a chance to break the deadlock when Bhavesh Kandolkar picked the ball from Jolious D'Costa and the former outwitted a couple of defenders but his try was well blocked by rival goalkeeper Sachin Ashtekarin the 10th minute.
United Club of Nerul did not lag behind as they piled on the pressure and nearly scored when Agnelo Colaco's snap shot was well fisted away by rival goalkeeper Sidesh Morje.
