Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre (DMC), Assagao, and Govt. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola booked their places in the final of the the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Cricket Championship 2024-25 following their intense semi-finals matches on Day 20, on Wednesday.
In the first semi-final, Dnyanprassarak Mandal’s College and Research Centre (DMC), Assagao, defeated SV’s Sridora Caculo College of Commerce & Management Studies, Mapusa, by 42 runs.
SV’s Sridora Caculo College won the toss and opted to bowl first. DMC, Assagao posted a total of 132/10 in 15.5 overs, with Namdev Raul contributing 30 runs off 29 balls and Aman Dhooper adding 26 runs off 20 balls. Tanay Shet and Mohit Asolkar were the standout bowlers for Caculo College, picking up two wickets each for 26 and 27 runs, respectively.
In response, SV’s Sridora Caculo College could only manage 90/9 in 16 overs. Dhruv Lotlecar top-scored with 42 runs off 25 balls, while Sabaji Dalvi added 15 runs from 18 balls. DMC’s bowlers, led by Vardhan Prabhu Misquin, dominated the innings, with Misquin taking 2 wickets for 5 runs. Rayyan Shah also supported well, claiming 2 wickets for 5 runs, ensuring DMC’s victory.

In the second semi-final, Govt. College of Arts, Science & Commerce, Khandola, triumphed over Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi, by 19 runs.
Goa College of Engineering won the toss and chose to field. Govt. College Khandola struggled to put up a big score, managing just 114/10 in 17.2 overs. Sourav Sharma (23 off 20 balls) and Snehith Panickar (19 off 12 balls) were the top scorers. Tushar Ghatwal and Narayan Sawant led the bowling attack for Goa College of Engineering, taking 3 wickets each for 14 and 23 runs, respectively.
In their chase, Goa College of Engineering could only manage 95/10 in 19 overs. Shreyash Usgaonkar was the top scorer with 22 runs off 30 balls, while Shubhankar Dessai contributed 12 runs off 22 balls. Khandola's Snehith Panickar starred with the ball, taking 4 wickets for 20 runs, supported by Kannayya Gaude’s 3 wickets for 14 runs, sealing the win for Khandola.
Snehith Panickar (Govt. College Khandola) made 19 runs off 12 balls and picked 4 wickets for 20 runs to be named as man of the match.
