The third day of the 7th All India Bhikoo Pai Angle Memorial U-15 Cricket Tournament saw four commanding performances from the participating teams, with Dwarka C.A., Margao Cricket Academy, Just Cricket Academy, and M.S. Dhoni C.A. all securing big wins in their respective matches.
In the first match of the day at SAG Ground, Margao, Dwarka Cricket Academy, opting to bat first, posted a competitive total of 178 all out in 38.5 overs. Openers Karan Kolhe (45) and Kartik Vidhate (37) top-scored for Dwarka, while Aaryan was the pick of the bowlers for Team Work Sports Academy, claiming 4 wickets for 40 runs.
In reply, Team Work S.A. were bundled out for a paltry 55 in just 17.3 overs. Atharva Dhule (3/18) and Ojas Shirule (2/10) led the charge with the ball, leaving the opposition with little chance. Dwarka won by a comfortable 123 runs.
At Agonda Ground, Margao Cricket Academy won the toss and chose to bat first, posting a modest total of 157 all out in 41.3 overs. The highlight of their innings was a splendid century from Pratyush Vidhu, who scored 101 runs.
In response, Adambakkam C.A. were bowled out for 113 in 32 overs. Despite a valiant knock of 57 from Yogeshwar Rajan, the chase faltered under pressure. Margao’s Sonu Kumar was the standout bowler, claiming 5 wickets for just 15 runs, while Vidhu also contributed with the ball, taking 3 wickets for 21 runs. Margao won by 44 runs.
SAG Ground, Sanguem, witnessed a one-sided contest as Green Nest C.A., opting to bat first, were dismissed for just 47 runs in 17.2 overs. No Green Nest batsman could resist the pace of Sourabh R., who bowled a devastating spell of 5 wickets for 15 runs, supported by Siddhart Gaekwad with 2 wickets for 5 runs.
Just Cricket Academy made quick work of the chase, reaching 48/0 in just 3.1 overs, with Rayan Aiden anchoring the chase with an unbeaten 30. Just Cricket won by 10 wickets, confirming their dominance in the match.
In the final match of the day at Dharbandora Ground, M.S. Dhoni C.A. emerged victorious with a clinical 9-wicket win over BP Patil Sports Academy. BP Patil, after electing to bat first, were dismissed for just 69 runs in 20.4 overs. Akshat Poosam was the star bowler for M.S. Dhoni, claiming an impressive 5 wickets for just 9 runs.
M.S. Dhoni chased down the target in just 8.5 overs, scoring 70/1. Abhimaan Singh remained unbeaten on 50* to guide his team to a commanding win. M.S. Dhoni C.A. won by 9 wickets.
