U-17 boys of Don Bosco High School, Tuem were crowned winners in the invitational 7-a-side football tournament organised by Government High School, Agarwada, Pernem on the occasion of the Golden Jubilee Celebration of the school on Friday.
In the finals, Don Bosco High School defeated Our Lady Of Mount Carmel High School, Arambol via tie breaker 3-1 after both the teams were locked 1-1 in regulation time.
Earlier in the first round, the Tuem lads defeated Our Lady Of Rosary School, Mandrem 2-0 while in the quarter-finals, Don Bosco defeated the host team Government High School, Agarwada 3-2.
In the semi-finals, the team won against New English High School, Kerim via tie breaker 2-1.
Shenoy Kharbe, Captain of Don Bosco was declared the best player of the tournament while Eldon D’souza of Our Lady Of Mount Carmel was declared the best midfielder.
