MARGAO: Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda entered the final of the 47th St Joseph Festival Inter-Village Football Tournament 2026, organised by Dramapur Sports Club, after defeating St Anthony FC, Assolda 6-4 in a penalty shootout.
The match ended 1-1 in regulation time. Fhezer Gomes gave Assolda the lead in the third minute, but Roque Borges restored parity for Fatorda in the 20th minute.
With neither side able to find the decisive goal, the match went to a tie-breaker. Fatorda held their nerve as Roque, Mario, Alfred, Rahul and Joston converted their penalties. Richard, Fhezer, Valentino and Imson scored for Assolda.
Cruz Gomes of St Anthony FC, Assolda was named Man of the Match. Organising chairman Piedade Mascarenhas presented the award.
Don Bosco Oratory, Fatorda will face Paroda in the final on October 11.
