Don Bosco College, Panaji, and Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, advanced to the final of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Women’s Football Championship 2026-27 after contrasting semifinal victories at the Goa University Ground on Wednesday.
Don Bosco defeated St Xavier’s College 3-0 in the first semifinal to reach the final for the second consecutive year.
Kanwiksha Rekdo opened the scoring in the 32nd minute with a header from a Simran Narvekar corner. Aniela Barretto doubled the lead three minutes later, tapping in after receiving a pass from Blessica.
Barretto completed her brace in the 65th minute after a fine individual run from midfield, beating the goalkeeper to seal Don Bosco’s place in the final.
In the second semifinal, defending champions Rosary College of Commerce and Arts, Navelim, thrashed P.G. Goa University 25-0.
Vinoshka Fernandes and Fatima Braganza scored eight goals each, while Prissy Pereira, Zuriel Tavares and Ria Pinto contributed two apiece. Swellen Fernandes and Ria Rajesh scored one each.
Rosary Navelim’s emphatic win takes them into the final as they look to retain the title they won last year.
