Faiz Ajmed hammered an unbeaten 136 (218b, 12x4, 1x6) to enable Sunny Cricket Club of Sanquelim score 371 for 8 on the opening day of the three-day Premier Division league match against Chowgule Sports Club at Dr Rajendra Prasad Stadium- here on Saturday.
Sunny CC won the toss and elected to bat first and started very badly losing 3 quick wickets. Faiz Ahmed pairing with Ashish Yadav steadied Sunny’s inning and added a valuable 209 runs for the 4th wicket. At the draw of stumps, Ganeshraj Narvekar was at the crease with Faiz on 11 runs. For Chowgule Sports Club, Saurabh Dubey was the pick of the bowler as he took 4 wickets for 106 runs, while Sherbahadur Yadav took 2 wickets.
