Following their 2-3 loss in the final to Chennaiyin FC on December 20 last at Nehru Stadium, Fatorda, FC Goa boycotted the medals ceremony, alleging the game was fixed.
The AIFF Disciplinary Committee has suspended Rajesh Malgi, equipment manager of FC Goa for four matches of ISL and also fined him Rs 1 lakh for using offensive gestures and abusive language against the match officials after the final whistle of the ISL final 2015

The All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) Disciplinary Committee have fined FC Goa Rs 50 lakh for boycotting the post-match presentation of the Indian Super League (ISL) final. The Gaurs have to submit the monetary fine in the next 10 days.
It must be noted that the club did not attend the presentation ceremony as FC Goa co-owner Dattaraj Salgaocar, claimed that he was allegedly assaulted by Chennaiyin FC marquee player and Brazilian Elano Blumer. Subsquently Blumer was arrested by Margao police and later Margao court order released him on bail.
Also Shrinivas Dempo, co-owner of FC Goa, along with Dattaraj Salgaocar weren’t allowed, as claimed, to enter the field of play at the end of the ISL final, which didn’t go down well with them.
Meanwhile in response of referee Yadumoto Yudai’s complaint on FC Goa officials who allegedly threatened him in the aftermath of the final, the AIFF has suspended the ISL franchise’s equipment manager.
“Immediately after the final whistle, many substitute players and officials led by Rajesh Malgi, the equipment manager of FC Goa, rushed towards me, surrounded me, scared me and threatened me of physical assault,” read the referee’s letter to the AIFF.
“Furthermore, Mr Rajesh Malgi, equipment manager, FC Goa has been suspended for four matches of ISL and also fined Rs 1 lakh for using offensive gestures and abusive language against the match officials after the final whistle of the ISL final 2015,” stated the AIFF Disciplinary Committee’s verdict.
