Four Goans are among 16 participants who attended the final module of the All India Football Federation’s (AIFF) coach education programme for coach educators.
The four-day programme, conducted from September 5 to 8, was led by four AIFF Coach Educator Experts — Sajid Dar, Shakti Chauhan, Shekhar Kerkar and Parthasarathi Thulasi.
The four Goan participants were Derryl D’Souza, Jeddy Almeida, Joshuah Vaz and Mario Aguiar.
The AIFF Technical Development Division began the coach education programme for its member associations in 2022. The project combines e-learning, online and on-site modules, along with individual mentoring, with the aim of providing continuous support to coach educators and creating structured pathways for their professional development.
The 16 participants were Altafuddin Ahmed Syed, Kundan Chandra, Pradhyum Reddy, Deepak CM, Derryl Dsouza, Dinesh Nair, Gumpe Rime, Jeddy Almeida, Joshuah Vaz, John Kenneth Raj, Mario Aguiar, Uttam Singh Negi, Prashant J Singh, Shafeeq Hassan Madathil, Shailesh Karkera and Shakti Singh.
As part of the programme, FIFA expert Oscar Gonsalves supported and guided the participants through the assessment process.
AIFF Head of Coach Development Vivek Nagul was also present in Bengaluru and supported the programme.
