Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar, Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim, and Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem registered convincing victories on the fourth day of the Goa University Inter-Collegiate Football Championship 2026-27 for men on Monday.
At the Goa University Ground, Fr Agnel College of Arts and Commerce, Pilar thrashed VP’s Mandre College of Commerce, Economics and Management, Pernem 8-0. Jonathan Silva opened the scoring in the 23rd minute, followed by Tanvesh Narvekar (29th), Rahul Baral (30th, 34th), Hazrath Saheb (32nd), Baral again (41st), Shaniel Lukas (47th) and Joven Fernandes (48th). Baral completed a hat-trick.
Goa College of Engineering, Farmagudi defeated Goa Medical College 4-2 on penalties after the teams were tied 1-1 at full-time. Kshiteej Naik put GMC ahead in the 20th minute before Selwyn Fernandes equalised for GEC in the 41st. Aryan Carvallho, Selwyn Fernandes, Riyan Niasso and Mangesh Bandodkar converted for GEC in the shootout, while Safal Vaigankar and Divyo D’Souza scored for GMC.
Padre Conceicao College of Engineering, Verna edged Sant Sohirobanath Ambiye Government College of Arts and Commerce, Pernem 8-7 on penalties after a 1-1 draw. Samuel Colaco gave PCCE the lead in the 10th minute, while Shubh Kerkar equalised for Pernem in the 31st.
At the Rosary Church Ground, Don Bosco College of Engineering, Fatorda, Margao overcame P.E.S.’s Ravi S. Naik College of Arts and Science, Farmagudi 3-1 on penalties following a goalless draw. Sadanand Godkar, Mark Fernandes and Shenoy Fernandes converted for Don Bosco, while Anch Naik scored for P.E.S.
Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Sanquelim registered the biggest win of the day, hammering Kamaxi College of Culinary Arts, Verna 10-0. Ramnath Parab scored four goals, including a hat-trick in the opening 14 minutes, while Aayan Maldar also completed a hat-trick. Vikas Ghadi and Tejas Kale added one each, with an own goal completing the tally.
Government College of Arts, Science and Commerce, Quepem defeated V.M. Salgaocar College of Law, Miramar 9-1. Sapnesh Velip, Rohit Velip (2), Viraj Gaonkar, Samir Gaonkar (2), Daksh Nadnimani, Aryan Gurav and Piyush Velip scored for Quepem. Niraj Gaonkar netted the lone goal for Salgaocar College of Law.
At Parvatibai Chowgule College, Margao, Narayan Zantye College of Commerce, Bicholim defeated DCT’s Dhempe College of Arts and Science, Miramar 2-1. Deeptesh Varak scored both goals for Zantye in the 23rd and 43rd minutes, while Chetan Divkar replied for Dhempe in the 24th.
GVM’s Gopal Govind Poy Raiturcar College of Commerce and Economics, Farmagudi edged Parvatibai Chowgule College of Arts and Science 1-0, with the only goal coming through an own goal.
Cuncolim Educational Society’s College of Arts and Commerce, Cuncolim completed the day with a 6-0 win over Rayeshwar Institute of Technology, Shiroda. Venito Costa opened the scoring in the eighth minute, Swavel scored twice and Shaish Gaonkar struck a hat-trick.
