Friends Circle Boys clinch Kaykee Cup title with thrilling 6-wicket win

Friends Circle Boys (FC Boys) emerged as the champions of the Kaykee Cup 2026, defeating Shakhayam Boys (Ponda) by 6 wickets in the inaugural 7-a-side Tennis Ball Indoor Cricket Tournament. The tournament was organized by Kaykee Youth Club, Dongorim Majorda, and held at the Empire Sports Arena, Nuvem.

After winning the toss and opting to bowl first, FC Boys restricted Shakhayam Boys to just 15 runs, all out, in their 10 overs. Puttie was the top scorer for Shakhayam, contributing 8 runs, while FC Boys' bowlers put up an excellent performance. Arun claimed 2 wickets for just 5 runs, and Nandesh took 3 wickets for 8 runs, playing a crucial role in the team's success.

In response, FC Boys chased down the modest target in just 3.2 overs, finishing at 17 runs, to clinch the title.

The two-day tournament saw the participation of 16 teams from across Goa. The final was graced by Chief Guest Patricia Rego (Director, Rego Food Products, Majorda), who presented the prizes to the winners and runners-up. Other distinguished guests included Keegan AW Fernandes, Chairperson, and Anjulo P Fernandes, Secretary, Kaykee Youth Club.
