GFA Third Division League: Margao SC hammer Dramapur SC 6-2

Margao Sports Club scored a fluent 6-2 win over Dramapur Sports Club in the Goa Football Association Third Division League, at Dramapur ground, on Sunday.

Dramapur SC were first to break the deadlock in the 19th minute through Nash Fernandes. Dramapur SC were unlucky to see their player Wounal Barreto receive a straight red in the 24th minute.

After constant trying, Margao SC managed to draw level at the half-hour mark through Reanzil Barreto. Reanzil then put his side ahead in the 34th minute before Simon Fernandes consolidated the lead in the 36th minute. Margao SC led 3-1 at the break.

In the second half, Margao SC’s Sheriden Noronha received marching orders after getting his second booking. However, Reanzil continued with his form and completed his hat-trick at the hour mark. Dramapur then pulled another goal back through Senoy Oliveira. Reanzil scored his fourth and the team’s fifth in the 77th minute and then it was Maven Gomes, who added the sixth for Margao in the 88th minute.

At Nagoa ground, Arlem Youth Association defeated Raia SC 3-1. Raia SC took the lead in the 39th minute through Rivo Borges. Raia led 1-0 at the break. In the second half, Raia’s Sammy Tavares received the marching orders with a straight red. Having a numerical advantage, Arlem YA scored three goals through Reagen Vas, Roy Colaco and Casburk Colaco.

At Chandor ground, Chandor Club defeated Deao Sports Club 3-1. A Samick Fernandes own goal gave Chandor the lead in the 4th minute. Hayden Fizardo then doubled the account as the winners led 2-0 at the break. Deao managed to pull a goal back in the 65th minute through Ivo Costa. Rivaldo Cardozo added a third goal for Chandor in the 87th minute.

At Sirsaim ground, BAFF defeated Augustias SC 4-0. Sanket Pal and Vinayak Rane scored a brace each for the winning team. At Duler Stadium, Mapusa, Super Goans Sports Club ran riot against Adarsh Yuvak Sangh Saligao with a 12-1 win. Soham Nagvekar scored five while Prakash Rathod and Yamnur Pinjar scored a brace each for the winners. Hargan, C Menezes and Nathan D’Silva were the other goal-getters for the winning team. Ashish Kerkar pulled a goal back for the losing team.
